Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and ZINK LABS LTD (company number 14100061, 25 Portland Crescent, Feltham, England, TW13 4RY), which provides Blab (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Blab, you agree to these terms, our Community Guidelines and our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. Please read them carefully.
1. Blab
Blab is a free app for sending voice notes, messages, photos, videos and stories to people you know. We may change, add or remove features over time. If a change significantly affects you, we’ll tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
2. Who can use Blab
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- If you’re under 18, please go through these terms with a parent or guardian.
- You can’t use Blab if we have previously banned you, or if the law where you live prohibits it.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your phone number and email address up to date.
- Your account is for you alone. Don’t share it, sell it or let anyone else use it.
- Choose a username that doesn’t pretend to be someone else or break our Community Guidelines. We may change or reclaim a username that does.
- Keep your password and devices secure, and tell us at support@blabtalk.com if you think someone has accessed your account.
4. Your content
You own what you create. Your voice notes, messages, photos, videos and stories belong to you or the people you got them from.
The permission you give us. To run Blab, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display your content. We may only use it to provide, secure and improve Blab, for example to deliver your messages to the people you choose. The licence ends when your content is deleted, except where we must keep it longer for legal reasons or as described in our Privacy Policy. We don’t use your content for advertising or to train AI.
You’re responsible for what you share. You confirm you have the right to share your content and that it doesn’t break these terms, our Community Guidelines or the law.
Messages expire. Blab deletes messages and stories automatically after their expiry time (see our Privacy Policy). Blab is not a storage or backup service, so save anything you want to keep elsewhere. Other people can still take screenshots, record their screen or keep copies.
5. Using Blab responsibly
Follow our Community Guidelines. In particular, you must not:
- share illegal content, or use Blab to commit or encourage crime
- harass, bully, threaten or exploit anyone, especially children
- share sexual content, nudity, hate speech or graphic violence
- impersonate others, create fake accounts, or send spam or scams
- share someone’s private information or intimate images without their consent
- interfere with Blab’s security or operation. This includes trying to access other people’s accounts or data, scraping, using bots or automation, reverse-engineering the app (except where the law allows), and getting around blocks, bans or limits.
6. Safety, reporting and moderation
Reporting. You can report a profile, message or story from inside the app, or block anyone at any time. You can also email support@blabtalk.com.
What we do. Our team reviews reports and aims to act on content that breaks these terms within 24 hours. When we review a report, we may look at the reported content while it still exists. We don’t automatically scan private messages. If content or behaviour breaks these terms or the law, we may:
- remove the content
- warn you
- limit features
- suspend or permanently close the account
- report it to the police or other authorities
We will always report child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Complaints and appeals. If we take action against your content or account and you think we got it wrong, or you want to complain about how we handled a report, email support@blabtalk.com with “Appeal” in the subject. We’ll review the decision again and tell you the outcome.
7. Other services
Some features use other companies’ services, such as GIF search, link previews and maps. Their terms may also apply. We aren’t responsible for their content or services. The app stores you download Blab from also have their own terms.
8. Our rights in Blab
Blab, its name, logo, design and software belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in line with these terms. Don’t copy, modify, distribute or sell the app.
9. Ending your use of Blab
You can stop using Blab at any time and delete your account from Settings › Delete account (see Delete your account).
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. We may also do so if we must to comply with the law, or if your use creates a risk for other users or for us. Where it’s appropriate and safe, we’ll tell you why and how to appeal. We may also stop providing Blab altogether, giving you reasonable notice where we can.
10. Our responsibility to you
Blab is provided free of charge. We work hard to keep it running and secure, but we can’t promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. We aren’t responsible for what other users say or do.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
Otherwise, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We aren’t responsible for loss that isn’t foreseeable, for business losses, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control. Where the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to £100.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we change Blab or when the law changes. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app and ask you to accept it before you continue. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
12. If you downloaded Blab from Apple’s App Store
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Blab or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If Blab fails to meet any applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Blab. Apple is not responsible for:
- claims relating to Blab or your use of it, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer protection claims
- third-party claims that Blab infringes their intellectual property
You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo, and you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there. If you live in the European Union or elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you can bring proceedings in your local courts.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
