Once again, life shows us how horrible some people can be. Only a few hours ago, 88 year old James von Brunn stepped into the Washington D.C. Holocaust museum, only to shoot and kill the security guard that opened the door for him, before being shot by two other guards. The victim, Stephen Tyrone Johns, died of gunshot wounds to the chest, while von Brunn....a proudly admitted neo-Nazi and white supremist...lays in critical condition in the hospital. The museum has been shut down, and a play that was scheduled for today has been canceled.

Just goes to show you...not every nazi is a skinhead. There is still old-time hatred brewing and festering.

What happens in a persons growing and maturing years to fill them with such all consuming hatred and intolerance towards others? This guy spent eighty years consumed with it, lost at least one marriage over it, went to prison because of it. It makes me wonder if he would have turned out different with a different set of parents or growing up in a different environment. Or is it just genetic? I can't help but believe the old adage though "as the twig is bent, so grows the tree".

It sickens me what happened. The news had a segment about the black guard that was killed. They said he was like a huge teddy bear. Nicest guy you could meet. Wouldn't hurt a fly was what the ones who knew him said. He was even opening the door for this old white supremacists. As a fellow security guard, this hits home. He not only hated Jew's, but hated black's too I'm sure. This guard was opening the door for this racist piece of crap and was shot to death as he did. If it wasn't for the other guards, who knows how many other innocent people would have been killed. The armed guards were the real hero's here and that according to the police. It's a shame all the racists aren't his age and are a dying breed.

Meanwhile, in the UK, the BNP (British National Party) have actually gained two seats in the European Parliament. The BNP are fascist and racist. They want to round up all non-white people and "repatriate" them.

Since many are born in this country and there are many with mixed racial origin how would that be possible? But, no doubt, they would round them up and place then in a 'camp' somewhere as the first point....and then.....history repeats itself.

The whole psychology is based on hate. Anything wrong in your life...blame it on blacks, Jews, Gays, Commies, Muslims.

The same evil ripped apart Yugoslavia because a few ambitious politicians knwew they could feed on people's lowest, basest instincts, fear, hatred.

This evil is part of human psychology. We cant get rid of it, only control it.

I think it's a sad day anywhere when hate is allowed to reign. Recent update....Mr. von Brunn is still in critical, yet stable, condition. He's being charged with murder in the first degree, along with a hate crime (which just enhances the chances of getting the death penalty).

And yes Larry...the security guards that stopped Mr. von Brunn are the true heros.

A guy goes to work, ordinary, harmless, peaceful and never returns home because some evil people have been pouring poison into this sickos head for years.

Because of his age they'll probably pamper the ol' koot in prison, if he lives long enough to make it there.

No pampering, Larry. They made sure he'll live, I believe. And his is a capital murder case.
